Mideast Early Music Workshop

2024 Covid Policy

Thankfully, COVID-19 levels currently remain low, but there are early signs of a summer surge and the threat continues, especially to vulnerable populations.

We highly recommend that you be vaccinated according to CDC guidelines and your physicians’ recommendations.

All attendees should test themselves  on the day before or on the day of travel. Consider wearing a KN95 mask if you are traveling by air or train (even though you may be one of the few doing so).

Home tests will suffice unless you are experiencing cold, sinus, flu-like or severe allergy symptoms, any of which could mimic COVID-19. In that case we ask that you take a more sensitive test in time to have the result before your departure. These should be available from your physician’s office, urgent care, and many pharmacies. Tests and urgent care are readily available near the campus.

Of course, a full refund will be given to anyone unable to attend due to COVID-19.

Masks are optional when not playing unless requested by your instructor in non-wind classes (e.g., percussion, strings).

These recommendations will be updated as conditions require.
