  About the Workshop:   there are classes, concerts and more ....

 

  • Small Technique classes  and consorts at all levels, geared to adult students  
  • Large ensembles and a variety of elective classes, including voices and English Country Dance
  • An opportunity to make music in mixed ensembles and meet strange instruments you may have never seen before!
  • Faculty and student concerts
  • Friendly fellow students with coaching by congenial, outstanding faculty


             Old friends come together to  meet year after year, and new friends quickly  become old friends. 

 

  • Residential and Commuter students welcomed
  • Arrival time for everyone is Sunday afternoon. Workshop classes begin on Sunday evening, following Sunday supper for all
  • The week culminates  Friday evening with the Student Concert and party.  Dorm check out is Saturday morning
  • Located on a beautiful small college campus, fully handicap accessible
  • Housing is in college dormitory  rooms with private baths.  Handicap accessible rooms available on request
  • An excellent variety of foods  are offered,  meeting nearly everyone's needs

  •   Morning ensemble classes are geared to specific levels for Recorder, Viol and flute.
  •  The first afternoon class is Consort music, also by level.

  • There are classes to learn a new instrument, such as "Try A Viol", and "Try a Harp"!
  • Renaissance Band includes all manner of instruments: wind, strings & percussion.

  • The Early Music Shop of New England, aka Von Huene Workshop, Inc is in residence with a large selection of excellent recorders and flutes, sheet music and supplies.  Repairs by the Von Huene Workshop can be arranged.
